Because F1 loves to solve problems that don’t even exist and ignore the important ones, drivers could now get penalties for throwing away their tear-off strips during the races.
According to Motorsport.com, drivers will face punishment from the FIA if they throw their visor tear-offs onto the track track or in the pitlane. I know, I know, this is actually a thing and not a joke.
What on earth.. Because not being able to see is going to be really safe. https://t.co/tWOKy7HE0W

Drivers will now have to carefully place their tear-offs into the cockpit while travelling at 200 mph… I mean seriously, what next, are they going to put some kind of recycling bin in the car or something!?
Apparently the teams aren’t happy with the visor strips getting trapped into car parts which could cause these machines to actually break down once in a while. Oh boo-fucking-hoo.
