From the 2020/21 season, Formula E is getting full-blown World Championship status – and there’s going to be a car upgrade to match.
The second-generation car already raised the bar with its futuristic, Batmobile-style looks, but the Evo version has taken things to a whole new level.
The front wheels are no longer fully enclosed and the front wing has been redesigned to something that more closely resembles the old Gen 1 car. The rear wing arrangement has also changed from two small ones above the rear wheels to a more conventional-looking one… well, it’s conventional until you realise there’s a gap in the middle.
The other notable change is that the car has also gained a shark fin, which is an awesome design feature that we’re still sad was banned from F1.
It’s an awesome redesign (especially in the Formula E colour scheme) and we can’t wait to see what the teams do with their liveries when Season 7 rolls around at the end of this year.
