The Renault R26 Is The Latest Classic Car To Join The F1 2017 Game

Codemasters has unveiled the latest juicy classic Formula 1 car that will feature in the up-coming F1 2017 game, which hits Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on the 25 August.

The beautiful Renault R26 – undoubtedly one of the prettiest F1 cars in recent years – has joined a very tempting line-up of classic machinery that’ll be included in the racing title.

It, of course, powered Fernando Alonso to the 2006 F1 drivers’ championship and Giancarlo Fisichella helped the team to also wrap up the constructors’ title.

In its iconic blue and yellow livery, the R26 joins a host of more modern ‘classic’ F1 cars in F1 2017 – including Kimi Raikkonen’s title-winning Ferrari F2007 and the Red Bull RB6 that Sebastian Vettel wrapped up the championship with in 2010.

Plus, there’s the ridiculously cool Williams FW14B, the Ferrari 412 T2 from 1995, the Williams FW18 that Damon Hill took to the 1996 crown, the Ferrari F2002 and Ferrari F2004 that Michael Schumacher dominated with.

11 cars will come with the standard game. The iconic McLaren MP4/4 will be available if you pre-order or get a ‘Day One’ copy, but can get snapped up at a later date.
