Juri Vips and fellow Estonian driver Ralf Aron were fighting for the lead at Spa when they collided on the run up to Les Combes
Vips and Aron were battling at the front at Spa - a circuit which always provides plenty of side-by-side action in junior series. Unfortunately, in this case, the two drivers got a bit too side-by-side on the Kemmel straight.
Although Vips is racing in the No.44 car, it wasn’t blessed as he made contact with Aron’s rear wheel. It was the tiniest bit of contact, but more than enough to send Aron into the wall and out of the race whilst Vips suffered front suspension damage. Oops…
Red Bull junior Dan Ticktum went on to win, whilst Mick Schumacher took his first F3 victory in race three - appropriate, given now synonymous his father is with the circuit.
