IndyCar’s unsurprisingly popular (and kind of famous) visor cam has made a return, with hot laps around the Detroit street track.
The video takes us onboard the Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing machine of Graham Rahal for a series of laps around the challenging Belle Isle circuit.
Rahal is clearly hooked up and enjoying the Detroit double-header, as he took pole position and victory for the opening race of the weekend.
The visor cam onboard also includes team radio from the session, so we can hear just what the driver and team are discussing.
It’s a pretty cool way to watch single-seater action and see how much the drivers have to wrestle the cars, we just wish other series would pick up these kind of innovative camera angles.
