These Star Wars Liveries On F1 Cars Need To Be A Thing

Star Wars is iconic; some F1 liveries are iconic. Combining the two is a no-brainer!

Star Wars has more of a history with F1 than you might think. At the Monaco GP this year the Renault drivers raced with special Star Wars overalls, and at Monaco in 2005 Red Bull went all-out with a mega livery and a pit crew decked out like Stormtroopers. Nigel Mansell also raced as ‘Red 5’ for most of his career, though that’s unrelated, and we suspect he never fired a torpedo into Ayrton Senna’s exhaust.

This has to be one of the coolest one-off liveries, ever, right?

But what would it be like if an F1 car featured the livery of individual characters? Graphic designer Daniel Crossman has come up with these stunning interpretations and they’re so cool that we’d love to see them on an actual F1 car, like maybe a (use the) Force India. No? I’ll show myself out.
