V8 Supercars is known for its ballsy racing, wheel-banging and exciting on-track action. That proved to be the case once again at the Gold Coast 600.

Scott McLaughlin’s wild pass on Mark Winterbottom has to be a contender for overtake of the year, somehow managing to get his car slowed down after a monster lock-up.

Sure, he also used Winterbottom’s car to slow him down a little. But the move showcased incredible car control from McLaughlin to keep him out of the wall.

The move was for third place in last month’s second race at the Surfer’s Paradise Street Circuit, which McLaughlin managed to hold onto.
