The FIA’s award for the best action of the year unsurprisingly went to Max Verstappen for the third year in a row.

It’s only a matter for time before the ‘FIA Action of the Year award’ is renamed the ‘Max Verstsappen award’ as the Dutchman has now won it every year he’s been competing in motorsport.
It was no surprise that this year’s award went to the Red Bull Racing driver for his move around the outside on Nico Rosberg during his sensational performance at the Brazilian Grand Prix.
It’s the third year in a row that Verstappen has won the award. Last year it was for this equally brave pass on Felipe Nasr around the outside at Blanchimont in Belgium.
And in 2014, it was this dash to the line with Antonio Giovinazzi at Imola that grabbed him the first of his three Action of the Year awards.
Verstappen also won the FIA’s Personality of the Year award for the second year in a row.
