It’s fair to say Max Verstappen’s second full season in Formula 1 was a truly epic one and it’s interesting to hear his thoughts on a memorable 2016.
The Dutch teenager started off with Toro Rosso in 2016, but after four seasons he switched across to Red Bull and made an immediate impact.
He won on his debut for the team at the Spanish Grand Prix, breaking all kinds of records in the process, and went on to score six further podiums.
Not bad for someone in his third season of single-seater racing. Not bad at all. In this video review, Verstappen reviews his 2016 but it doesn’t go according to plan.
While being asked a question about the Red Bull RB12 and the strength of its chassis and aero, he’s interrupted by a cheeky Daniel Ricciardo.
It appears this happened while Ricciardo was live-streaming on Red Bull Racing’s Facebook page, wrapping up the year. You can see Ricciardo’s view of it here:
So Verstappen’s end-of-season review was halted momentarily by Ricciardo’s own end-of-season review… classic.
