Every now and then, F1 drivers get together to play a charity football match for their team Nazionale Piloti. Last night’s game though was particularly special however, as it took place in Germany as a tribute to Michael Schumacher who still remains in a serious conditions following his skiing accident in 2013.
Schumi Jr, Mick played for Nazionale Piloti alongside the likes of Sebastian Vettel, Nico Rosberg, Fernando Alonso, Felipe Massa, Daniel Ricciardo, Mika Hakkinen and Nico Hulkenberg, while German footballers such as Lukas Podolski and Miroslav Klose were also in action.
In a high-scoring game, Vettel grabbed his first goal for Nazionale Piloti…
But then again, he also did this…
And that’s why he’s an F1 driver and not a footballer.
