Lewis Hamilton topped Free Practice 3 in Austin but Sebastian Vettel was just 0.092 seconds behind. It hopefully shows that even though the title appears to be over now, we could see a close race between the two most successful drivers in F1 right now.
The Ferrari driver didn’t have an entirely smooth session though as he accidentally paid a visit to his old team Red Bull Racing when returning to the pits after a run.
To be fair to Vettel one of his Ferrari mechanics was standing right outside the Red Bull garage and hey, at least it wasn’t during the race, right? Remember when Lewis Hamilton pulled into the box of his old team McLaren during the 2013 Malaysian Grand Prix?
