A couple of weeks ago some classic F1 cars (a 1986 Benetton B186, 1994 Footwork FA15, and a 2000 Arrows A21) were seen driving through Adelaide’s city streets at night as part of a promo for the upcoming Adelaide Motorsport Festival, which takes place from 7-10 December.
Now having an F1 car demo in the middle of the night when no one is around might seem like a strange way to promote an event, but it now makes sense – the whole thing was being filmed for a video.
That video has now been released…and it’s completely epic.
It’s a seriously cool video, right? And the drivers did an awesome job to keep everything pointing in the right direction, considering they were on slick tyres in the wet!
Apparently it could have been even better, but a load of onboard footage got lost halfway through filming and one of the cars broke down early on. Still, it’s way better than that one kinda similar scene from the movie Driven…
