Nascar races are renowned for high intensity and ridiculous levels of drama (and chaos) and that’s exactly what we saw during Friday night’s Truck Series season-opener at Daytona.
Matt Crafton’s Nascar Truck machine was sent into a scary, completely airborne 360-degree roll at Daytona after being pitched into a spin by an out-of-control Ben Rhodes.
The huge shunt came on the last lap, with Kaz Grala threading his way through the wreck to take victory.
Crafton was leading at the time of his crash, before Rhodes swerved into the back of his car and pitched him into the wall.
It was from there that the car got airborne and flipped completely before landing on four wheels, as mayhem kicked off behind him and smashed-up cars scattered across the track.
Quite a way to start the new Nascar season…
