Sunday at the Goodwood Festival of Speed was a pretty big day for 2008 Canadian Grand Prix race winner Robert Kubica.
Not only was it his first time at the event, but it also marked his first public outing in an F1 car in over six years – as he took to the hillclimb course in a Renault-liveried Lotus E20.
He was reunited with the car, having completed his first private F1 test in it a few weeks ago (if you didn’t know about that already, what have you been doing the last month or so?) where he managed 115 laps.
It was awesome to see Kubica entertaining the crowds in an F1 car again. Sure, it’s not a modern car, on the current grid, but still. It’s a pretty awesome sight.
Watch the video above as Kubica completes his first F1 demo run on Sunday at Goodwood, and we even hear from the man himself too.
