Watch This Awesome Visor Cam Of The New IndyCar Charging Around Sonoma

Aside from looking absolutely frickin’ amazing, the 2018 IndyCars should also be pretty mega to watch. With less overall downforce than before, cornering speeds will be slightly lower (and more slidey) whilst the reduced weight and drag should mean they’re actually quicker in a straight line.

The drivers have been absolutely loving them in testing so far and judging by this visor cam with Spencer Pigot’s Chevrolet-powered car, you can see why! Being on a track as good as Sonoma helps too, a circuit so undulating that it makes Spa look like Sochi.

With the series testing its windscreen concept in Phoenix later this week, it’d be cool to see a visor cam of that, too…

The new IndyCar season gets underway on 11 March – perfect for satisfying that need for high-powered single-seater racing if waiting until 25 March for the Australian Grand Prix is too much for you…
