Watch Two GT Cars Suffer A Hefty Start Crash At Sepang

The start of a race is clearly the riskiest moment and that was proved with this two-car shunt at the start of a Blancpain GT Asia round.

There’s a lot going on at the start of a race, and drivers have to really be aware of the cars around them, otherwise it can all end in tears.

That’s what happened in the opening round of the Blancpain GT Asia race at the Sepang circuit in Malaysia.

The BMW of Jun San Chen and the McLaren of Richard Wee clashed just second after the stunt, sending them both heavily into the wall.

It was a really heavy crash – the cars flew into the wall at high speed, causing some of the debris to fly over the pitwall. The safety car was unsurprisingly deployed straight away to clear up the wreck.

Both drivers seem to be alright after the crash, but the cars definitely were not…
