It’s been a good year to be a young motorsport fan. At the Spanish Grand Prix an upset Kimi Raikkonen fan was picked up by TV cameras and got to visit the Ferrari motorhome and meet his hero. Then IndyCar driver Scott Dixon surprised a young fan who written him a letter after his dramatic crash in the Indy 500.
Now it has been the turn of Mercedes and Valtteri Bottas to do something similar. During the British Grand Prix this young chap was seen cheering on his favourite driver and had gone all out with the merch, blue hair and face paint.

Mercedes decided to arrange a surprise for him, and so on a visit to Mercedes-Benz World young Oliver got to meet his hero, receive a signed cap and spend some time in his company.
How sweet is that?! The look of sheer joy on Oliver’s face when he sees his favourite driver is incredibly heartwarming. Top work from Mercedes and Bottas as well for going out of their way to give him such a a good experience (and I’m sure his parents enjoyed it too!)
