WTF1’s vision has always been to serve and connect with a new generation of motorsport enthusiasts who engage purely on social media. We’ve long championed series that put fans at the heart of the action, and World RX certainly does that.
With 12 rounds taking place around the world, Rallycross is a combination of rallying and circuit racing. It is head-to-head short, sharp racing on mixed surfaces (dirt and asphalt) contained within amphitheatre-style venues. High profile drivers are equipped with RX Supercars with over 600bhp and the ability to accelerate from 0-60mph in less than two seconds – faster than an F1 car.
Today, we’re excited to bring you news of our partnership with World Rallycross which comes into effect from this weekend at the World RX of Great Britain, taking place at Silverstone from 25-27 May.
Along with prominent placement of logos at events, we’ll be bringing you exclusive post-race content from each World RX event across our social channels; bringing our fans even closer to the fast-paced, drama-filled, door-to-door action of World RX.
WTF1 will also attend a number of races over the season to create exclusive Rallycross content for the championship, including YouTube content led by our very own Matt Gallagher.
Jessica McFadyen, Head of WTF1, said:
“By giving our audiences access to exclusive content across our social pages we hope to enable more people to enjoy all that World RX has to offer this season. We’re extremely excited to be working with WRX as it looks to embrace social audiences.”
Paul Bellamy, World RX Managing Director for IMG, said:
“With the first ever Speedmachine festival taking place at Silverstone this weekend we’re already reaching a wider audience of fans and our new partnership with WTF1 will only increase that further. WTF1 has a really refreshing way of delivering its online content to its large audience and we can’t wait to work with the WTF1 team throughout the year.”
Make sure you’re following us on Instagram and Facebook this weekend for behind-the-scenes action from the fourth round of World RX 2018.
